We need to strengthen our physiotherapy department with an additional rehabilitation assistant and are looking for someone with a strong interest in rehabilitation and health.

The Adult Rehabilitation Service has a county-wide mission and provides specialized habilitation to individuals with significant disabilities. We are organized in interdisciplinary teams and carry out our efforts from a long-term perspective with everyday life in focus. Most individuals in contact with the Adult Rehabilitation Service have intellectual disabilities, autism, acquired brain injuries, and/or mobility impairments.

Many patients have neurological diseases or injuries and/or joint diseases and have a significant need for motor training. The Adult Rehabilitation Service has a warm pool and a gym where patients have the opportunity to receive individualized training options.

The rehabilitation assistant works on behalf of the physiotherapists who assess when training with the rehabilitation assistant is appropriate. You will be based at Karlahuset, and travel to our facilities in the county is included in the position.

Together with your colleague, you will manage the daily operations of the pool activities and gym. You will be responsible for the facilities in physiotherapy, their inventory, and any purchases and service of aids/equipment. The role of the rehabilitation assistants is to provide service and support to our patients, prepare the relevant facilities, lead sessions, prepare sessions by gathering training programs and equipment, and administer visits. Rehabilitation assistants work independently in close collaboration with the physiotherapists in the various teams.

Treatment activities are often conducted simultaneously in the gym and pool. In both locations, a rehabilitation assistant needs to be present to provide advice, support, assistance, and to perform transfers and training activities.

A requirement is that you have an interest and experience in working with rehabilitation, wellness, and health, and that your education corresponds to the job responsibilities. Nursing education with a focus on health care or another equivalent education is preferred. We would like you to have experience with the target group. It is important that you are service-oriented, collaborative, and flexible. You should also be independent, calm, and possess both organizational and administrative skills. Being communicative and social and enjoying working with people is essential.

A B driver's license is required as travel is part of the job.

Interviews will take place on 11/2 from 8:30-9:30, and on 13/2 from 13:30-16:00.
